With 350 adoptions in 2017 and 21 years strong, the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana is growing more and more each day. We are well on our way to surpass that number for 2018, with even some of our hardest rescues to date. Many of our dogs this year have required life saving surgeries, which we have been able to provide because of the donations you have so generously given. Our volunteer count is over 60 and we are blessed by each and every one. New to our to our Facebook page this year, you can find profiles of several of our volunteers. And we are adding to that each week. Our volunteers are the heart and soul of HSNWLA and we want the public to know just how incredible each person is to our rescue. If you are interested in volunteering with HSNWLA, please visit our VOLUNTEER tab on our website.

In 2017 the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana had its most successful year to date. Some of what led to our success was the more than three hundred animals passing through our shelter doors and our list of supporters growing. Through the help of the community and social media the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana grew in dog numbers and people numbers.
