BUTTERBEAN 4 year-old female coon-hound mix. I was dumped, pregnant and so scared. When my Humane family came and rescued me, I had then had my 8 puppies that I tried to protect the best I could underneath an abandoned car. All of my puppies have been adopted while I had to undergo heart-worm treatment, and now that it’s complete, I’m ready to find my forever home, too! Before Humane, life had not been good to me and has made me extremely shy. I will do best with somebody that has a big backyard. I love being outside and will require some patience. Although I haven’t realized my own worth yet, my Humane family loves me so much and tells me often how invaluable I am Btw, I also get along very well with other dogs. 🐾 Meet Angel 🐾
Angel is a 12‑year‑old Shih Tzu mix weighing 11 pounds, and she truly lives up to her name. This sweet girl came to us in rough shape—severely matted, with a mass near her tail, and unable to walk on one of her back legs. Thanks to veterinary care and lots of love, Angel has had surgery to remove a fatty mass, and her affected leg was amputated due to cancer, which was completely removed. And guess what? None of that has slowed her down. 💕Angel is now a happy, active little tripod who embraces life with joy. She loves running and playing with her social group, happily zooming around and keeping up just fine. One of her favorite pastimes is playing with stuffed toys, and she absolutely soaks up all the cuddles and pets she can get from our volunteers. Interested in adopting? If you live out of town you must arrange to come to our rescue or arrange transport within 10 days of approval (This is subject to the INDIVIDUAL dog).
